The geomembranes are flat polymer products in form of foils with very low permeability that are used for sealing (waterproofing) in contact with soils or other materials.

The quality assurance of the gemembrane begins by choosing the synthetic resin. High quality polyethylene is manufactured to meet the extreme exigencies imposed to the geomembranes. The geomembranes of high density polyethylene (HDPE) have an excellent chemical resistance, resistance to environmental factors and high temperatures, are sold in a various range of thicknesses (0.3 mm ÷ 5 mm), are not dangerous for the user, not toxic, no pollute, not dangerous to the environment and human health.

There is now a wide range of types and kinds of geomembranes that our company sells, such as: smooth and rough high density polyethylene geomembrane, flexible geomembrane, special geomembrane,   geomembrane with studs and geomembrane for tunnels waterproofing.

- HDPE geomembrane is produced from high density polyethylene of high quality. Both sides can be smooth or can be rough on one side or both sides. It is black and contains approx. 97.5% polyethylene, 2.5% carbon black, antioxidants and heat stabilizers. Has a remarkable resistance to UV radiation and can be installed in various conditions. The rough membrane has exceptional frictional properties that allow the safely installation on slopes.

- Flexible geomembrane is made of low density polyethylene. Its characteristics such as the uniaxial and multiaxial elongation make it very suitable for any application in which elongation or puncturing are critical. Contains approximately 97.5% polyethylene, 2.5% carbon black, traces of antioxidants and heat stabilizers. Has smooth or rough faces. Can be also used on steep slopes where high friction characteristics are required. Smooth edges on 15 cm wide allow quick and easy welding. It is recommended on areas with differential settling that also require an increased friction between layers.

- Special geomembrane is smooth and has on one side a white, thin layer that reflects light. This layer reduces the heat accumulation. Other versions may have the white layer electrically-conductive and one or both sides textured.

- The geomembrane with studs is designed to protect the concrete structures. Are specially designed for an optimum absorbtion of the stresses distribution, especially during temperature changes or water pressure appearance. It is produced in two standard colors. The black is used in solar exposure and that grey at works without sunlight exposure.

-The geomembrane for tunnels waterproofing is manufactured of very flexible polyethylene and consists of a black central layer and two external white layers and is produced in 2 degrees of fire resistance: B1 and B2.

The geomembranes are successfully used to:

  • tanks waterproofing for waste water storage and treatment;
  • water reservoirs, artificial lakes and ponds waterproofing;
  • protection of concrete construction elements (underground or above ground) against soil and water   (with or without hydrostatic pressure) moisture;
  • industrial, agricultural and municipal landfills waterproofing ;
  • channels, tunnels, earth dams lining;
  • protection of steel structures in the petrochemical industry;
  • hydrotechnical and water management constructions;
  • landscaping;
  • gas stations, etc.
